Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started with tutoring?
Call us to register over the phone, or complete our online registration form, which we can email to you. It takes just 5 minutes!
Can I just try one lesson and then decide?
Absolutely! You would start with just one lesson and then decide how you would like to proceed.
Can I cancel at any time?
Absolutely! At Tutors on Call, there are no contracts or packages, and no cancellation fees.
Can I start with online lessons and then switch to in person lessons?
Yes, you can start with one format of lessons and then switch at a later date.
How long does it take to get a tutor?
It only takes about 24 hours to get an online tutor and 72 hours for an in person tutor.
Can I have more than one subject taught during a lesson?
This depends on the subject and level. At lower levels, it’s usually not a concern. However, at upper levels, such as high school math, the second subject should be closely related. For instance, it can be difficult to find a tutor who specializes in math and also has expertise in advanced English. On the other hand, it’s more common to find a tutor who can teach both high school math and physics, or a tutor who can handle both social studies and English.
