Frequently Asked Questions

Will the tutor help with my child's homework?

Yes, our tutors can assist with your child’s homework, helping them understand the material and develop problem-solving strategies. This support ensures they grasp concepts being taught in class.

How do you assess my child's math level and needs?

Over the course of the first couple of lessons the tutor will assess your child’s math level. They will then tailor the lessons according to the areas that need focus.

What methods do you use to make math engaging for young learners?

Our tutors use a variety of hands-on activities, games, and interactive tools to make learning fun and engaging. We incorporate real-life examples and visual aids to help students relate to the material.

How often should my child attend tutoring sessions for optimal results?

We typically recommend two sessions per week, depending on your child’s needs. Regular sessions help reinforce learning and maintain progress, but we can adjust the frequency based on individual goals.

How do you track my child's progress in math?

We provide a monthly progress report, which lists the accomplishments for each lesson.

How do you measure progress in math tutoring?

We assess progress through regular quizzes, reviewing homework performance, and monitoring improvements in grades or confidence levels over time.

What if my child struggles with a specific concept?

If your child has difficulty with a particular concept, the tutor will adapt the lesson plan to revisit and reinforce that topic using different teaching methods and materials until they gain a solid understanding.

How do you ensure that the tutoring sessions align with what my child is learning in school?

Our tutors are familiar with the Canadian elementary math curriculum. We ensure that our sessions complement classroom learning, helping to reinforce and build upon what they are studying.
